Wowzas! That was some dang good food! I can’t believe in all the years of living a city over that we’ve never been here, but we’ll be back for sure! No wonder they’ve been in business for so long!

I absolutely love this place! It feels good on Sunday eating this food with your family. This is a true landmark restaurant. It has been for many years! Great staff too!

Super slow service and extremely unprofessional snotty staff. Every time it takes too long for food that’s already made just to be boxed up. Employees are only concern with that’s going on in their own little world. They also forget to hang up the phone after a call so the line stays busy for hours at a time. Very unorganized. Most of the slowness and negligence happens during their night shifts. Specially with the older red hair ish lady, she’s the most unprofessional one.

A taste of home like I've not yet experienced since I was last at home. Soul fool with a hint of love mixed in.

Good food but the staff were slow. I found myself waiting for a good five minutes before an employee came out from the back to take my order. The entire staff appeared to be teenagers and they were all just talking and laughing in the back rather than serving us. Smh

Made a trip specifically for the 'World Famous Tater Wedges' and was not disappointed. Have eaten here before but never noticed these delicious gems on the menu. Needless to say, I know where I'm heading the next time I crave these morsels of goodness!

On Friday 8/14/20 I called in and put a order in for 18 pcs of chicken and biscuits for Saturday at 12:00pm. I was there around 12 or a little after. I paid, and waited for them to put chicken in boxes. When I got home I had a box of nothing but backs, and a box of mixed pieces. Why a box of backs?? Should have been mixed pieces in both boxes. Can't trust businesses to do the right thing. I like walmart's chicken better anyway, because of pandemic they were not cooking in bulk. So long $28, that will be the last time.

GREAT food & reasonable prices. Service is average because the staff is unprofessional. Owners: train your employees better. Otherwise it's definitely worth a visit!

I’m here visiting for a work trip and this place came up on google maps so I said I’ll check it out. To my surprise it was amazing. I had the 3 wings with Mac n cheese and fried okra with biscuit. The wings were huge. I’m talking about I was full after eating only two of them. The fried Okra was definitely my reminder that I was back home in the south. They offer make sides and combs. They also offer specials during the week. This week was chicken and dumplings. They also have homemade lemonade and sweet tea. The seating area is not the largest but the service is great. The workers actually bring your meal to your table while you sit and wait. If you’re looking for a home cooked meal with great sides go check this place out

Food was fresh and hot. Some of the chicken was small, but it was good.

Hathaway's is always on point. It's a pile of food cooked up fast while you wait. They have a solid system. We got a 3 piece tender meal for my husband and a 2 pc. Dark Meal "Snak" with a side for me. Both came with the best biscuit in Charlotte and surrounding in my opinion...and cake- homemade cake. All totalled 16.50....the 2 slices of cake added 4.25. You can't beat that. Tater wedges are a treat too!
